  • Read more books.

Initial plan was to read a book while everyone is sewing quietly. It worked for first couple of times when everyone was stitching by hand.

After machines came in quilting went faster, but room became much noisier.

  • Do hand-quilting on a frame.

We had a wonderful home-made frame in a class. Log Cabon quilt was loaded and ready to get quilted.

But we simply did not have time.

  • Do more embroidery.

Embroidery machine is great! One square is totally not enough!

    Victor (6), participant

Embroidery on a machine is much faster than by hand. However it requires significant time to set up hoop, choose design and colors. One square was a very realistic goal considering the time frame.
